Stunningly simple and surprisingly comfortable, the thin Delicate Cable Scarf is great for knitting in January!

Materials

5 skeins of PurlSoho's Flax Down yarn, 43% baby alpaca, 42% fine merino, and 15% flax. Color Antique White.

Circular or straight knitting needle number 6

Knitting needle for braids

2 loop markers

2 loop holders (or small loop)


Density

1 inch = 2.54 cm

24 p and 44 p = 4 inches of garter stitch

Product size: approximately 13 inches wide x 66 inches long

Remove all loops as wrong.



Braids


3/1 to the left : remove 3p on the recall. a knitting needle for braids before work, 1 person, 3 persons with a knitting needle.



3/1 to the right : remove 1p on the recall. knitting needle for braids at work, 3 persons, 1 person with auxiliary knitting needles.



6 / left : remove 3p on the recall. knitting needle for braids before work, 3 persons, 3 persons with auxiliary knitting needles.



Note: this pattern fits on any number of even loops.

DESCRIPTION


Start


Using the regular looping method, dial 78 p.



Row 1 (out of row): Remove 3p (see Patterns) with thread before work ( NPR ), persons up to the last 3 n, remove 3 p from  NPR .



Row 2 (persons row): Persons to the end of the row.



Repeat rows 1 and 2 to a height of 3 inches from the set edge.



Scythe to the center


Row 1 (persons row):  3/1 to the left  (see Patterns), persons up to the last 4p,  3/1 to the right  (see Patterns).



Row 2 (out of row): Remove 1 p  NPR , place marker ( RM ), remove 3 p  NPR , persons up to the last 4p,  RM , remove 3 p  NPR , 1 person.



Row 3 (persons row): Remove 1 p  NDP ,  3/1 to the left , remove the marker,  PM , persons up to 4p in front of the marker,  3/1 to the right,  reshoot the marker ( PM ), persons to the end of the row.



ATTENTION: When knitting  3/1 to the right , 3 faces,  PM , then faces loop with a knitting needle.



Row 4: Remove 1 p  NPR , persons to the next marker,  PM , remove 3 p  NPR , persons to the next marker,  PM , remove 3 p  NPR , persons to the end of the row.



Row 5: Remove 1 p  NDP , persons to the last 3p in front of the marker,  3/1 to the left , remove the marker,  PM , persons to the last 4p in front of the marker,  3/1 to the right,  PM , persons to the end of the row.



Repeat rows 4 and 5 until two braids are next to each other in the center of the work, ending at row 5 and removing the markers in the last row.



Central weave


Next row (out of row): Remove 1 p  NDP , 35 persons, remove 6 p  NDP , persons to the end of the row.



Next row (persons row): Remove 1 p  NDP , 35 persons,  6 / left  (see Patterns), persons to the end of the row.

Scythe to the edge


Row 1 (persons row): Remove 1 n  CPD , 34 persons,  3/1 to the right ,  3/1 to the left , persons to the end of the row.



Row 2 (out of row): Remove 1 p  NPR , 34 persons,  RM , remove 3 p  NPR , 2 persons,  RM , remove 3 p  NPR , persons to the end of the row.



Row 3: Remove 1 p  NDP , persons to the last 4p in front of the marker,  3/1 to the right,  PM , persons to the last 3p in front of the next marker,  3/1 to the left , removing the marker,  PM , of people to the end of the row.



Row 4: Remove 1 p  NPR , persons to the next marker,  PM , remove 3 p  NPR , persons to the next marker,  PM , remove 3 p  NPR , persons to the end of the row.



Repeat rows 3 and 4, ending near 3, until after the second marker 1 p.



Next row (out of row): Remove 1 p  NPR , remove marker, remove 3 p  NPR , persons to the next marker, remove marker, remove 3 p  NPR , 1 persons.



Next row (persons row):  3/1 to the right , persons to the last 4p,  3/1 to the left . Place a removable marker or a piece of memory at the end of this row.



Continuation of work


Row 1 (out of row): Remove 3 p  NPR , persons up to the last 3 p, remove 3 p  NPR .



Row 2 (lycryad): Persons to the end of the row.



Repeat rows 1 and 2 to a product height of 3 inches from the removable marker, ending next to 1. Remove all markers.



Repeat + End


Repeat knitting from “Spit to the center” to “Continuation of work” 3 more times.



With the canvas facing you, close the front loops.



Thread the ends of the threads and shape after the WTO!
