Knitted hats are relevant for most of the year in our latitude. Therefore, there are never many hats, and a hat with braids must be in your wardrobe. After all, she has already become a classic among knitted hats. How do you like this option rather succinctly and at the same time very attractive caps?

Kim Hargreaves' pretty spring  knitted Shell hat is knitted  with pigtails. The size is universal.

For knitting you will need:  2 skeins of yarn 50 g each Rowan Summerlite; knitting needles 2.25 and 2.75 mm; auxiliary knitting needle; knitted needle.


Knitting density : 35 loops and 42 rows = 10 cm with a pattern of braids.

Legend.

K3P = remove 2 loops on the auxiliary knitting needle at work, 1 person, then 2 persons from the auxiliary knitting needle.

 

Knitted hats for spring

On needles 2.25 mm, dial 142 loops and knit 4 cm with an elastic band as follows:

1st row (BOS): 2 out, * 2 persons, 2 out; repeat from * to the end.

2nd row (IS): 2 persons, * 2 out of 2 persons; repeat from * to the end.

Repeat 2 rows and finish in the wrong row. Go to the knitting needles 2.75 mm.

Track. row (BOS): 2 out, * 1 persons, double crochet, 1 person, 2 out; repeat from * to end = 177 loops

Next, knit a pattern of braids:

1st row (IS): 2 persons, * 3 out of 2 persons; repeat from * to the end.

2nd row (BOS): 2 out, * 3 persons, 2 out; repeat from * to the end.

3rd row: knit as 1st row.

4th row: 2 out, * K3P, 2 out; repeat from * to the end.

from 5th to 8-1 rows: repeat the 1st and 2nd rows twice.

These 8 rows form the main knit. Tie 26 cm, finish in the 7th wrong row of the pattern.

Crown formation

1st row (BOS): 1 out * 2 faces together, 1 faces, 2 faces together behind the back walls; repeat from * to the last loop, 1 out = 107 loops.

2nd row (IP): 1 person, then purl to the last loop, 1 person.

3rd row (BOS): 1 out, * 3 persons together; repeat from * to the last loop, 1 out = 37 loops.

4th row: 1 persons, * 2 persons together; repeat from * to the end = 19 loops.

Cut the thread and pull through the remaining loops. Pull and tighten the thread. Make a seam.
