The original shape of this cardigan is emphasized by the location of the braids. Very dynamic and unusual model!

DIMENSIONS

38/40

YOU WILL NEED

Yarn (60% cotton, 40% polyacrylic; 110 m / 50 g) - 550 g of bright green; knitting needles No. 4; circular knitting needles No. 4; 5 buttons (diameter 44 mm).

PATTERNS AND SCHEMES
PATENT EDGE (BOTH SIDES FOR 3 LOOPS)
Front rows: at the beginning of the row, remove 1 loop as the wrong one (thread at work), 1 front, 1 loop as the wrong one, at the end of the row knit up to 3 loops from the end, then remove the loop as the wrong one (thread at work), 1 front, 1 loop to remove, as purl.

Wrong rows: at the beginning of a row, 1 wrong side, remove 1 loop as a wrong side (thread before work), 1 wrong side, knit up to 3 loops from the end at the end of a row, then 1 wrong side, 1 loop removed as a wrong side (thread before work), 1 wrong side.

RUBBER
When knitting on an odd number of loops:
Front rows: alternately 1 front, 1 wrong side, finish 1 front.
Wrong rows: To knit loops according to drawing.

With an even number of loops, the front and back rows are: edge, alternately 1 front, 1 wrong, edge.

FACE FACE
Front rows - front loops, wrong rows - wrong loops.

STRUCTURAL PATTERN A (ON 50 LOOPS)
Take as per Scheme 1. The diagram shows the right shelf (without the bar made by pattern 2). On it are given front rows. In the wrong rows, knit all the loops according to the drawing or acc. instructions, knit yarn seamy. Run 1 time the 1st–148th rows.

STRUCTURAL PATTERN B (FOR 61 LOOPS)
Knit as structural pattern A, but as per Scheme 2. The diagram shows the right half of the back.

STRUCTURAL PATTERN IN THE MIRROR IMAGE

Knit as structural patterns A or B, but in mirror image acc. scheme 1 or 2, respectively, i.e. read the loops from left to right.

In addition: instead of knitting 2 loops together with the front, constantly knit 2 loops together with a tilt to the left (see legend) and instead of knitting 2 loops together with a tilt to the left, knit 2 loops together with the front, and also perform all crossings in the opposite direction, respectively.

WRITTEN IRON
Front rows - purl loops, wrong rows - front loops.

GARMENT KNITTING
Front and back rows - front loops.

SEMI-PATENT PATTERN
An odd number of loops. Front rows: alternately 1 wrong side, 1 loop from the bottom row (= 1 front, at the same time insert the needle 1 row lower), finish 1 wrong side.

Wrong rows: to knit loops according to drawing.

KNITTING DENSITY
8 p. + 3 p. Patent edge x 22 p. = 4.5 x 10 cm, tied with an elastic band;
18 p. X 35 p. = 10 x 10 cm, connected by a semi-patent pattern;
19 p. X 27 p. = 10 x 10 cm, connected by front stitch.

ATTENTION!
Due to the large number of loops, the back and shelves are knitted on circular knitting needles in rows in the forward and reverse direction.

In pattern 9, only every 2nd row is visible in the facial scars on the front side.

Due to regular decreases and increases in the structural patterns, a diagonal direction of knitting with the corners is formed. Calculation patterns according to. density knitting is not possible. The dimensions in cm in the instructions and the dimensions on the pattern were obtained when measuring the model.

Knit the shelves and back to the armholes with a single fabric. Then finish the parts separately.

COMPLETING OF THE WORK
SHELVES AND BACK
Sew 251 stitches on the knitting needles with a cross-shaped set and, after the initial wrong side, knit an elastic band for the plank, while starting and ending with 3 p. With the patent edge.

For the 1st hole for the button, through 1.5 cm = 4 rows from the starting row, knit 3 stitches with a patent edge and a rubber band with a rubber band, then make 1 double crochet and knit 2 stitches together on the wrong side. Knit the wrong side in the wrong row.

The following 4 button holes should be made the same in each 26th row.

After 8 cm = 20 rows from the beginning of the knitting of the strap, continue the work as follows: 3 p. With the patent edge, 8 p. Continue to knit with an elastic band (= strap of the right shelf), 50 p. line), 61 p. with structural pattern B, 1 p. with frontal stitch (= middle loop of the back), 61 p. with structural pattern in mirror image (structural pattern B in mirroring), 3 p. , 50 p. With a structural pattern in mirror image (structural pattern A in a mirror image), 8 p. Continue with an elastic band (= strap of the left shelf), 3 p. with the patent edge.

Attention!
The average 125 p. Form the back, the outer poles of 62 p. - shelves, between them is 1 p. For the side line. For reference, we recommend marking these loops.

After 33 cm = 72 rows from the bar in the middle of the back to start the corner of pattern 9, knit the last loop of the structural pattern B and the 1st loop of the structural pattern in the mirror image (structural pattern B in the mirror image) purl, respectively, between them continue to knit the middle loop of the back as a loop from the bottom row (see semi-patent pattern). Pattern acc. scheme to expand in each front row on both sides by 1 loop.

At the same time, for the bevel of the neck of the shelves through 42 cm = 92 rows from the plank, continue to knit with a patent edge and 8 p. Elastic for the plank on both sides, but in structural pattern A and in the structural pattern in mirror image (structural pattern A in mirror image), reduce 28 x 1 p., for this acc. no longer double crochet.

At the same time, after 42 cm = 98 rows from the bar, divide the work for the armholes and at first for the right shelf continue work only on the first 59 loops according to pattern, 1st loop will become hem.

After 65 cm = 148 rows from the plank, leave 3 p. Of the patent edge + 8 p. Of elastic, the remaining 23 p. Of the shoulder should be closed.

Loop the patent edge loops and elastic bands onto the knitting needles and add 1 crossed cross-thread along the inner edge.

For the neckline of the back, knit another 12 cm on 12 loops according to pattern, then leave the loop.

The left shelf on the last 59 loops is finished in mirror image.

Then, for the back, dial the average 127 stitches on the knitting needles and continue to work according to the pattern, while in the 1st row on both sides close the marked hinges of the side lines = 125 p., on both sides the outer loops will become edge.

After 54 cm = 140 rows from the bar - pattern 9 additionally rounds the neck - close the middle 69 points for the neck and finish both sides separately.

For rounding along the inner edge, close 1 x 3 p. And 1 x 2 p.

In each 2nd row.  After 65 cm = 148 rows from the plank, close the remaining 23 p. Shoulders.

SLEEVE
Type 60 loops on the knitting needles for each sleeve with a cross-shaped set and for the strap between the hem tie 4 cm with an elastic band.

Continue to work with front stitch, while in the 1st row, evenly distributed, add 24 st. = 84 st.

After 18.5 cm = 50 rows from the plank, close all the loops.

ASSEMBLY
Perform shoulder seams. Sew the stitch loops with a knitted seam and sew the stitch into the neck of the back, fitting the edges of the neck. Fill the seams of the sleeves and, slightly pulling, sew in the sleeves. Sew on buttons.
